In 2019, Sand Dams Worldwide supported the coordination of a trip to southeast Kenya for a crew from the CSIS Global Food Security Program and iDeas Lab to do a short film about sand dams, featuring our partners in the region, the Africa Sand Dam Foundation, as well as various dryland farmers that we support.

You can now watch the film here!

CSIS (the Center for Strategic and International Studies) is a US think tank, and this film was part of a mini documentary series about climate change adaptation (with other films shot in El Salvador and Nepal).

A big thank you goes out to the CSIS team and all involved in spreading awareness of sand dam technology and it's potential to combat climate resilience and provide water and food security in drylands.

Please donate and support vulnerable dryland communities to reduce global health threats with sand dams and access to clean water
